WHAT IS THE GENERAL THICKNESS OF CHROME PLATING FOR HYDRAULIC CYLINDER RODS?

 As we all know, the thickness of the chrome plating much related to the working life of the industry hydraulic cylinder ,As a professional manufacturer of hydraulic cylinder ,we usually will receive the requirements that customers ask chrome layer thickness of the hydraulic cylinder rod, 20/25/30/50 Micron or customized can available for us.

Hydraulic cylinder piston rod chromium plating layer is not thicker, the better, the reasons:
1, chromium coating in the process is reciprocating multiple coating, that is, the single coating amount is about 0.03-0.06, and the coating effect on the substrate surface is better, the secondary coating effect on the already coated surface is not good, easy to produce delamination, off the skin small defects, and the hydraulic system is the most taboo there are such defects;
2, when the coating thickness reaches more than 0.10, the domestic is not good, not can not be done, but is not necessary in the use of special occasions.
3, supplement: plating process can achieve 0.15-0.20 coating thickness;

Coating thickness should vary according to the use of different occasions. When the mechanical load is light and general protection, the thickness is l0 ~ 20μm; When the sliding load and the pressure is not too large, the thickness is 20 ~ 25μm; When the mechanical stress is large and the corrosion resistance is strong, the thickness is as high as l50 ~ 300μm; For the piston rod, this thickness is generally enough for hard chrome plating, even taking into account other aspects of the requirements, although the proposed thickness can be achieved, but for the outer circle, the chromium layer is a little thick, the coating binding force is higher, and the plating is more difficult. For the piston rod exposed to the outside, the chromium layer that is too thick is not as resistant to bumping as the thinner chromium layer.
