How to customized chrome rod for hydraulic cylinder according to the applications

Image
As we all know, the suitable chrome rod is critical for the hydraulic system performance, durability, and cost efficiency, no matter from heavy machinery to aerospace components.  DATONG GROUP specialize in precision-engineered chrome piston rods tailored to your specific needs. In this guide, we’ll explore how material selection and advanced manufacturing techniques can optimize your hydraulic cylinder’s functionality. Hydraulic systems operate under extreme pressures, temperatures, and environmental conditions. A generic piston rod may fail prematurely due to: Inadequate load-bearing capacity (e.g., in construction equipment). Corrosion resistance (e.g., in marine or chemical plants). Weight constraints (e.g., in robotics or aviation). By corporating with us, you’ll gain a tailored solution that balances strength, flexibility, and longevity—directly addressing your industry’s challenges. 1. Material Selection: The Foundation of Performance The choice of material determines...

What is the Salt spray test to check corrosion resistance of chrome plated piston rod

Image
The salt spray test is a standardized test method used to check corrosion resistance of  chrome plated piston rod . It involves a   hard chrome bar   sample being placed in a chamber containing a fine mist or aerosol of salt particles, representing natural weather conditions. The damage to the sample is measured visually and compared against other samples, with the results being reported as equivalent "hours at" exposure. Salt spray testing is used to assess the durability of finishes and coatings on  hydraulic cylinder rod  surfaces. The test can be used to evaluate the impact of different exposure conditions, such as humidity and temperature, on a coating's ability to resist corrosion. It is also used to compare the performance of different coatings and finishes. There are three kinds of salt spray test: Neutral Salt Spray Test (NSS), Acetic Acid Salt Spray test (AA SS) and Copper Accelerated Acetic Acid Salt Spray test (CA SS),, among which the most wi...
