The Method For Measuring Straightness Of Hollow Piston Rod

 There are many advantages of using hollow piston rod.On the one hand, it can obviously reduce the weight of the whole structure. On the other hand, it can further improve the use performance of mechanical equipment. In other words, with the emergence and application of hollow piston rod, the equipment has a greater development space in the performance and use.

However, to give full play to the use performance of hollow bar,first of all, it needs to ensure its straightness. In the process of straightness detection, do you know which methods can be used? Let's get to know the details below!

In general, to accurately detect the straightness of the hollow piston rod, four different methods can be selected. The first method is the pitch method. Usually, this method is mainly used for measuring long parts. For example, when the piston rod is divided into several small sections, the relative readings of each segment can be measured with the aid of the level, autocollimator and other instruments. Then, the straightness error is obtained through the relevant data processing.

The second method is called the data acquisition unit connecting with the dial indicator method. The measurement principle of this method is to select the maximum and minimum of a measured data from the data acquisition unit and dial indicator, and then calculate the straightness error of the hollow piston rod automatically according to the calculation software in the  data acquisition unit software. Using this method can effectively reduce the error caused by artificial reading.

The third method is called micrometry. This method can not only be used to detect the straightness of hollow piston rod, but also can be used to measure the straightness of other cylindrical plain wire or axis.

The fourth method is called the appropriate method. For example, in the process of measuring the straightness of the hollow piston rod, we can use the principle of comparison between the measured features and the ideal features to complete the measurement.
