WHAT IS DOM STEEL TUBE

 DOM steel tube is a welded mechanical round steel tube with the internal weld seam removed creating a smooth internal surface. DOM steel tube has been drawn over a mandrel to produce a tube having more exact dimensional accuracy and tolerances, and a very smooth inside and outside finish. DOM Round Steel Tube is ideal for more stressful applications requiring higher quality, increased mechanical properties, uniformity, strength, and soundness.  

DOM Steel tube (Drawn over Mandrel) is an electric welded tube with all weld flash removed. Tested for weld soundness, drawn over a mandrel and retested. DOM Steel Tubing has a superior finish and wall uniformity to seamless tubing.DOM Steel Tube is a good candidate in applications that require high stress or applications that need a mechanical tube with increased mechanical properties.

DOM Steel tubing is produced from 1020/1026 steel strip then formed over a mandrel welded and flash removed to produce a dimensionally sound tube.

Applications: race car frames, roll cages, motorcycle frames, spindles, rollers, shafts, engine mounts, bushings,hydraulic cylinders, telescoping, etc.

  Hydraulic ram cylinders   are typically used to give vertical motion, including lifting loads in a vertical direction. Such a cylinder is also used to provide the motion in a horizontal direction but needs attention and suitable guides to guide the motion.
